The world is hurting and we are desperate for signs of hope. Au Sable staff found joy this week as we delivered native plants to the homes of local students who were involved in our environmental education programs prior to COVID-19 closing their school. While we had originally planned to complete one, large habitat restoration project with the whole class, there will instead be many, smaller plantings at students’ home yards and gardens.

Students pictured are enrolled at a small and rural school district with limited resources. We love these kids and their desire to learn new things about the world. We will continue to post photos to our social media accounts as we deliver more plants in the coming weeks.
