The Spring 2020 cohort of participants in the Environmental Leadership Intensive (ELI) have arrived on our Great Lakes campus in northern Michigan. Left to right in the photo: Steven, a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University (CA), Abigail, a graduate of Geneva College (PA), and Melissa, a graduate of Houghton College (NY).

They will spend 19 weeks immersed in practical, hands-on experience and field-based seminars focused on environmental education, non-profit administration, leadership development, spiritual development and field natural history. Their first assignment was to build a quinzee snow shelter that will be used to teach local schools about winter biology and the subnivean zone.
