Au Sable Welcomes Participants to Environmental Leadership Intensive

We are thrilled to welcome our four participants for the fall Environmental Leadership Intensive (ELI)! The four participants will live on campus with us and spend the next 15 weeks immersed in practical, hands-on experiences and field-based seminars focused on environmental education, non-profit administration, leadership development and field natural history. The ELI participants include (left to right):

Giacomo Catalina graduated from Westmont College with a degree in Biology. He aspires to educate others about our natural world with a fun and encouraging attitude.

Karyleigh Olson graduated from John Brown University with a BSE in English Education. She grew up in Germany, where she learned to love the outdoors and care for the created world. Karyleigh is excited to help kids learn to understand and appreciate the earth as much as she does.

Lizzie Diehl graduate from Point Loma Nazarene University with a BS in Biology. Lizzie hopes to grow her non-profit administration skills and spend quality time with earthworms in the compost bin.

Corinne Hoffman graduated from Taylor University with a degree in Environmental Science. Through her time here, Corinne is excited to continue working with students and leave with a better understanding of how environmental education programs are organized and implemented.
