CertificaTES offered at Au sable
Au Sable offers five certificates as a part of their college program. Four of those certificates are Au Sable certificates that require courses that are taken at both a student’s home institution and Au Sable. The certificates granted by the Institute include Field Naturalist, Land Resource Analyst, Water Resource Analyst, and Environmental Analyst. Certificate requirements are revised periodically, and students may find the requirements in our Official Bulletin.
Students completing Field Techniques in Wetlands (Summer Session I, Great Lakes) complete the necessary training, field work and exams to earn a certificate in wetland delineation from Au Sable. This course has been pre- approved by the Society of Wetland Scientists Professional Certification Program as meeting standards for content and instruction to receive credits and/or points toward SWSPCP Professional Certification or SWSPCP Professional Certification Renewal.
Other courses offered at Au Sable, such as Stream Ecology and Geographic Information Systems (GIS), are designed so that students who are interested in certificates through the EPA or ESRI can easily begin those certifications. For more information, about any of our certificates or courses, please contact admissions@ausable.org.
