Dr. John Wood
Academic Dean
John teaches environmental science , conservation biology and behaviour courses at The King’s University College. He completed a BA in Biology at North Park University in Chicago and a PhD at the University of California, Berkeley in aquatic ecology and entomology. Before moving to Canada he taught for 6 years at Simpson College in San Francisco. He has been in streams teaching ecology and fly-fishing entomology in California, Michigan, Belize and on Vancouver Island. His current research is on White-tailed Jackrabbit behaviour, urban natural area conservation and campus sustainability. John worked with the City of Edmonton on its new Urban Parks Management Plan and he writes extensively on caring for creation. Oh, and sometimes he walks on water.
