Renting Au Sable Institute Facilities

Au Sable Institute facilities are available to the public for meetings, conferences, events and other activities to further its environmental stewardship mission and to support civic and environmental groups and organizations. We will be happy to work with you to meet the needs of your group or organization.

Rental form
You should obtain a rental form from the Au Sable website or the Institute Office and mail the completed form to the Institute.

Rental rates
Granary (capacity 95)
$50 dollars for the morning, afternoon or evening or $100 per day

Brooder Barn (capacity 50)
$60 dollars for the morning, afternoon or evening or $100 per day

Roost (capacity 15)
$20 per meeting (up to 3 hours) or $60 per day

All facilities and grounds for weddings or similar events
$850 per day

Payment for rental
Payment is made at time of picking up facility key by cash or check.

Building key
1. Call the office to arrange to pickup the key
2. After the event, drop the key in the drop box at the garage

Responsibilities of users for facilities stewardship
1. Users are responsible for maintaining the quality of the facility and its contents.
2. All trash, bottles and any other refuse should be properly disposed of before leaving.
3. All the lights should be turned off and the doors locked when leaving.
4. No open flames are allowed inside or outside the facility, such as candles.
5. The facility should be cleaned to the original condition before leaving.

Property damage
1. Any damage to facilities should be reported by the user to the Facilities Manager
2. The damage and key deposit will be returned following inspection.
3. Users are responsible for payment of damages.

Users are encouraged to make gifts and donations beyond mere basic fees to help support the maintenance and upgrading of facilities. Also, the Institute welcomes proposals from individuals and organizations who wish to make gifts and donations in support of the institute in lieu of payment of fees.
