Winter at Au Sable Institute
Winters in northern Michigan are exhilarating! Visiting Au Sable's woods during the winter is an exciting adventure. Winter woods and ponds hold many wonders to discover. Our kindergarten through grade twelve curriculum offers several studies that can only be conducted at this time of year. Descriptions of our winter curriculum follow. Each of the following studies are four hours in length.

Beginning Ecology: Wildlife Study and Winter Study
Environmental Studies: Water Quality and Groundwater
