Sable Institute's environmental education program offers a wide variety
of day-long field trip options for local schools and other groups from
Northwest Lower Michigan. The kindergarten through grade twelve curriculum
provides field study units for each grade level. The units are sequential,
building on each other in order to bring students to an understanding
of major environmental concepts. Each field trip study unit is designed
to captivate the students' interest and to teach basic concepts about
the natural world that are appropriate to the students' grade level.
