Biodiversity

Preliminary surveys of the biota were made during the summer of 1999 on Smith Prairie, Central Whidbey Island, Washington. The following are lists of plant, avian, and lepidopteran species identified on the site. These lists must be considered tentative and a work in progress. The plant list has been updated by Steven Byler, prairie restoration ecologist.
